What a traditional Jewish wedding looks like – step by step.

Before the chuppah, the ketubah – the groom's commitment to the bride – is signed in front of two kosher witnesses.
The groom approaches the bride and covers her face with the veil – an intimate, emotional moment.
The couple enter the chuppah and the betrothal blessings are recited over a cup of wine.
The groom places the ring on the bride's finger and says: “Harei at mekudeshet li…” – “You are consecrated to me with this ring according to the law of Moses and Israel.”
The ketubah is read aloud, followed by the Sheva Brachot over a second cup of wine.
The groom breaks a glass in memory of the destruction of Jerusalem – and everyone shouts “Mazal Tov!”
