The Athens Bar and Bat Mitzvah Clubs offer a unique learning opportunity for boys and girls in Athens who are entering Jewish adulthood. A knowledgeable and engaging rabbi leads our classes, and they focus extensively on preparing young teens for their Bar or Bat Mitzvah and their adult life as proud Jews in Athens.
We meet weekly in Athens throughout the year to discover Judaism, the Jewish Holidays, history, practices, and traditions. We also help students gain an understanding of and skills for adult Jewish life, including learning the Alef Bet (Hebrew alphabet) and some basic Hebrew vocabulary. Our classes are interactive and hands-on, with fun activities and workshops spanning arts and crafts, baking, and more!
In addition to the basic Judaics curriculum, the Bar Mitzvah Club in Athens teaches boys about Tefillin, its meaning, and how to do them. We also teach the main Jewish prayers and offer additional classes for those who want to read the Torah portion at the Synagogue on their Bar Mitzvah in either Ashkenazi or Sefardi tunes.
At the Athens Bar and Bat Mitzvah Clubs, we understand that not all students learn the same way or at the same pace. That’s why we also offer one-on-one private lessons in Athens at a location of your choice and at a convenient time.
Join our classes in Athens and discover the joy of Jewish learning. Our lessons are led by a knowledgeable and engaging rabbi, making them informative and exciting for your child.
